HOLLYWOOD ENTERTAINMENT ALLIANCE SUPPORTS HOLLYWOOD

HOLLYWOOD, CA - Hollywood insiders and religious leaders formed Hollywood Entertainment Alliance ("HEA") in 2005 as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation with the goal of "Serving the Entertainment Industry with the love of Christ." HEA works with ministries committed to changing culture through unifying, equipping and empowering Christian organizations and individuals in the entertainment industry to "influence the influencers."

"'Hollywood' is a very secular industry -- under 5% of the people working in Hollywood attend church on a regular basis - we believe that if we can make a difference here in the 'Creative Capital of the World' the effect will be profoundly felt in the programs, films, music, and content that circles the globe," comments Rob Loos, Co-Founder and Partner of TLC Entertainment, and currently serving as HEA's Interim Executive Director.

"Our hope is to lead a national awareness that Hollywood is the world's most influential mission field," comments HEA Board member and Hollywood Producer, Karen Covell. Part of the goal is achieved through HEA's guidance of its three primary member organizations:
  • InterMission (IM), Christian-Hollywood's community-based ministry with over 5,000 professional members.
  • Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) the leading prayer-based ministry in the Hollywood community.
  • Hollywood Connect (HC), the groundbreaking training program for Christians in the Entertainment Capital.
HEA helps to shape the fundraising efforts that support these ministries, as well as provide oversight, guidance, and direction.

This summer, based on the successful efforts by so many ministries during the painful 2007-08 Writers Guild Strike, HEA is planning to launch HEART 4 HOLLYWOOD, a ministry designed to help the short term financial needs of industry professionals "on the edge." "In my years as a Pastor here in Hollywood, I have seen all sides of this business, and I am excited to see a ministry that can provide a temporary boost to talented professionals in their hour of personal need"... commented Dr. Doug Millham, Presbyterian minister and Chairman of the HEA board.

HEA also serves on the Task Force for the 'Christian Creative Arts Center," a planning group that is working to create a studio and office complex to house Christian Groups in Hollywood by 2012. "The early Church shared their resources with one another; we are very hopeful that we can gather the Christian Ministries that now serve Hollywood, pull our resources, and create a physical building with long-lasting impact - a place for classes, to meet, to screen projects, to create, to pray,' commented Loos.

HEA reaches out in partnership with a variety of other established Churches, Christian organizations, and Ministries to support the needs of the entertainment industry in Hollywood. We welcome your support. You can find out more information or donate online at www.HEAUSA.org
